Professional Shop - COVID-19

In a recent Government COVID-19 announcement it was stated that face coverings must be worn in any shop, from Friday 24 July 2020, and it has been confirmed by the golfing governing bodies that this ruling applies to our Professional shop.

The rules state that you are expected to wear a face covering immediately before entering a shop and must keep it on until you leave.

A face covering is defined as follows:

  • something which safely covers the nose and mouth.
  • you can buy reusable or single-use face coverings.
  • You may also use a scarf, bandana or hand made cloth covering but these must be securely fit around the side of the face.

Face coverings are largely intended to protect others, not the wearer, against the spread of infection because they cover the nose and mouth, which are the main confirmed sources of transmission of virus that causes COVID-19.

Face coverings are not required to be worn in any restaurant with table service and there is therefore no government requirement to wear a face covering the Clubhouse.

Please observe this government guideline and continue to support Philip and Simon in the Shop.
